Now, here is some context about what happened: at the beginning of 2022, my mother's health started to deteriorate, and then it made her take a break from work, but she was still getting paid for it. But around late August or early September, my mom fell and broke her hips. Sometime later, my mom was feeling out of the blue, almost like she had fainted. One of my sisters-in-law suggested taking her to the hospital. She was indeed in a coma because of COVID (and also got it that day, which explained why it felt like I was having a horrible cold). My sisters were almost expecting her to die that time, but luckily, she didn't die. And to add salt to injury, she had to retire obligatorily from her judge job in November of that year.
